Teater Tikus is a glint in the eye, a work in progress and a dream of YT Wong. At this moment I don’t know yet if Teater Tikus will turn out to be a theatre company, a way of working, a place, or just me.
Meanwhile, I am a mime and movement actor mentored in the techniques of Marcel Marceau by Christina Sergeant (Singapore) and of Etienne Decroux by Thomas Leabhart (USA). I have been an actor, performer and teacher for ten years.
I am currently in Los Angeles, working on the Decroux technique with Thomas Leabhart and making solo work. I have a continuing interest in and curiosity about acting, moving and performance in all its many forms: how it works, what it does, and how a performance affects both performer and audience alike.
